  3. Good topic, Kasun and you have met some valid points about how important it is to have employer branding. Though a point to add would be that having a massive social media presence can be a double edged sword too because when a negative piece of news spreads about a strong brand name (e.g. recent closure of McDonald's outlets managed by Abans in Sri Lanka), companies are very slow to respond on social media, and the conversations ''tweeted'', "'WhatsApped" in groups or shared Facebook posts goes viral with little or no control. Therefore the bigger your brand name is, the harder you fall if the company mismanages the skeletons in its closet.
